I'm bored at work on Labor day so I figured I'd rant a bit about me not being able to find a decent ZTT. Three weeks ago I go and look at a one owner 91 TT red with 93k on it. The guy wanted 9700 for it. I didn't even try to get him to lower the price. Told him I could have the money by the next weekend(had to work, couldn't take off). That was a Saturday, he calls me on the following Monday and says that he doesn't want to wait for the money and that a guy from NC is driving down tomorrow to get it if I can't the the money that day. I say oh well. Two weeks ago, I go to look at another 91 TTZ, 106k for 10k. The guy pulls up and the car is hurting, I can see that. Needs to be repainted very very badly. I look inside and it has 110k on it, not the 106k that the ad said. It drove alright, kinda ruff and the boost gauge didn't work. The drivers seat needed to be replaced or redone or something it was in bad shape. I offered $8000. He said the lowest he would go would be 9300. I told him I'd think about about it. To me that car wasn't, still isn't worth $9300. This past Saturday, I go to look at yet another 91 TT, 107k for $11800. Price seemed high but hey it's blue. I get there and give the car a walk about before the guy gets out there. Under the spoiler where the TT sticker is supposed to be ther is a big 4" ripped piece, no clue. I get in and it drive nice. Lose it around a corner but recover nicely. We get back and I pop the hood and what do I see but lots and lots of red. SOB, apparently the car was orginally red. The guy who owned it before this guy owned a body shop and painted it blue. Leading me to believe that it had been in an accident. The wheels were in pretty bad shape and it have a crap job of a speaker system in the rear. The guy looked at me like I was crazy when I said, what's the lowest you wanna go on it. He said $11800 firm. I said ok, I'll call ya later. Why can't I find a nice TTZ? I mean I've been good, haven't had a Z for 11 months. I'm to the point to where I'm really considering my second choice a 93-95 RX7. Oh well, just wanted to rant a minute, thanks. The search continues.
